Our Story
We are a family owned and operated cattle station and have been running cattle on “Redland Park” for over 30 years. We are excited to be able to showcase our premium product and provide you, the consumers with an ethically raised free range meat, directly from our property to your front door. A taste of the real outback.
Jim and Wendy, both born into cattle and grain farming families made the move from Southern Queensland to the North West in 1986. Raising their three children on “Redland Park”, they have instilled within them the importance of being good custodians of their land and cattle. “Seeing our children develop a love for the land and their animals provides us with so much gratitude every day.” They have always been keen advocates within the beef industry, passionate about ensuring the sustainability of beef businesses through good land management and welfare practices.
Angus, the brains behind Horizon Grazing, has spent the majority of his years in the North. It was while working on "Redland Park" and various other jobs in the beef industry, his dream of being able to bring his family’s ethically raised meat direct to consumers started to grow.
Angus met Jo when she was nursing in Mt Isa, originally from a cattle station at Goondiwindi, Jo has a massive passion for the outback and the people who live and flourish out here.
Angus and Jo have now moved to Toowoomba to kick start Horizon Grazing. Angus’ pipe dream of many years is finally coming to fruition!
Hannah grew up on “Redland Park”, and after several years working as a full-time vet, she has now returned to live on the property with her fiancé Lachlan. Hannah is not only our inhouse vet, she can be found on the back of a horse, fixing a fence or balancing the books. She loves animals and is passionate about promoting high cattle welfare.
Lachy met Hannah while working in corporate agriculture. He made the move to Redland Park to join the family operation and add another redhead to the mix! Lachy and Hannah are responsible for the day to day work on the property whilst ensuring the best conditions for our cattle.
Emily is the adventurer of the family. She has a passion for travel and living an environmentally conscious life. She enjoys staying up to date with the current research surrounding sustainable living and eating. While she may not always be on the property (or even in the country!) Emily is always relied upon for her out of the box thinking and as a sounding board for the whole family.
